The
Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has charged a 35-year-old man in relation to a June
2022 death.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, Downtown Branch Patrol members responded to a reported assault in the area of 107 Avenue and 106 Street. Upon arrival, police discovered an unresponsive male lying in the alley. The male was treated and transported to hospital with unknown injuries. On Friday, Jun. 3, 2022, the man died in hospital.
A Tuesday, Jun. 14, 2022 autopsy completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined the man, identified as Abraham Albino, 47, was the victim of a homicide and his cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Homicide Section has since arrested and charged, Dedecho Harun, 35, with manslaughter in relation to Albino’s death.
