Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death that occurred last night.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. yesterday, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, Downtown Patrol officers responded to numerous reports of gunshots in the area of Jasper Avenue and 116 Street. Upon arrival, officers located a woman in her 30s inside a vehicle, who appeared to have injuries consistent with being shot. Responding officers applied emergency first-aid until paramedics arrived, though she was declared deceased on scene.
Homicide detectives have since taken over the investigation and are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the shooting, as well as anyone with information about the suspect(s).
