Police arrested a 26-year-old male suspect last night in relation to seven incidents that took place in a northwest Edmonton neighbourhood in April.
The incidents, which took place between Sunday, April 2, 2023, and Sunday, April 30, 2023, involve a male committing various crimes, including assaults and, most recently, sexual assaults. All of the incidents have targeted females, and all have taken place in the Cumberland neighbourhood between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Police issued a warning about this on May 2, 2023, after investigators from the Sexual Assault Section had confidently determined there was a connection between all seven incidents in the neighborhood.
Several charges are pending against the 26-year-old male including break and enter with the intent to commit theft (x4), robbery (x2), sexual assault and sexual assault with a weapon.
