Police arrest three suspects in January B&E

Three individuals have been charged with break and enter in relation to two incidents that occurred in Edmonton in January 2014.

A Crime Stoppers tip received after a news release in January provided crucial information for investigators about a break and enter that occurred at a commercial store on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 around 1 a.m. in the area of 149 Street and 111 Avenue. Another break and enter occurred on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 where police responded to a commercial store in the area of 34 Avenue and 99 Street. Although the suspects had already fled the scene, surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle was obtained and shared with local media outlets and the public.

On Thursday, Mar. 20, 2014, St. Albert RCMP notified the Edmonton Police Service about the arrest of three individuals who were also suspects in the two break and enters in January.

Robert Fehlauer, 25, has been charged with break and enter (x2).

Tylor Matchett, 26, has been charged with break and enter (x4).

Stephanie Bain, 24, has been charged with break and enter (x2).

Background:

The Edmonton Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance to identify a vehicle that was allegedly used in a break and enter last month.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, police were called to a break and enter at a commercial store in the area of 34 Avenue and 99 Street. Surveillance footage shows a suspect vehicle that is described as 4-door, light coloured SUV. Police believe the vehicle is a 2001-2007 Jeep Liberty. Both of the rear windows have a “Fox Racing” decal displayed.
