It’s believed the B&E occurred sometime between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on April 15, 2014. The suspect was caught on a neighbour’s home surveillance video walking away from the home just after 12 p.m., and headed north bound down the sidewalk. Numerous items were taken including jewelry, electronics, cash and a ring that has significant and sentimental meaning to the family.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 60 years old, of average height, slim build, with short to medium length grey/white hair. On the day of the B&E, the suspect was wearing blue coveralls with a sweater underneath.
The suspect may have also been riding a bike just before the B&E with no shocks, an odometer or pedometer on the handlebars, and a water bottle in the carrier. While on the bike, the male was also wearing a large jacket and one glove on his right hand. The suspect is pictured in the photo on a bike in the area of 151 Avenue and 121 Street.
It’s believed the same suspect was in the area the day before, April 14, posing as an Enmax sales person. The suspect was wearing a large orange jacket, ball cap and glasses, and an “Enmax” name tag around his neck. Investigators confirmed with Enmax Energy that it has not used door-to-door sales for the past several years.
