Sexual Assault Section detectives are seeking the assistance of the general public to provide information about the suspect by contacting police or Crime Stoppers.
“The public often plays a key role in helping to solve some of our investigations, so we want to formally appeal to the general public regarding this crime, which will hopefully generate some meaningful leads for our investigation,” said Det. Marci Koshowski, of the EPS Sexual Assault Section.
Background:
Back on Tuesday, June 10th, a male entered the residence near 20 Avenue and 49 Street at approximately 1:30 a.m., while the occupants of the home were sleeping.
The complainant was awoken when the suspect entered the master bedroom, with his head and face concealed, and threatened to sexually assault the woman.
The complainant successfully fought off her attacker and escaped the home along with the other occupants, but the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as being an average size male, who was wearing blue jeans, dark hooded jacket, black boots, black gloves and a dark colored balaclava/ski mask, at the time of the incident.
