The Edmonton Police Service Sexual Assault Section has charged a former Edmonton Public School teacher in connection with sexual offences that allegedly occurred against a male student between September and December 2004.
“This is an important arrest. It sends the message to anyone who might have been assaulted that they can come forward to police, even years later, and make a complaint,” explains Barb Clover, Detective with the Sexual Assault Section.
Harvey James Klok, 47, is charged with sexual assault.
The EPS believes there may be other complainants who have yet to contact police and encourages them to come forward.
