A three-vehicle collision in northwest Edmonton this morning has claimed the life of a woman.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. today at 82 Street and 122 Avenue. Details are preliminary at this time, though it’s believed six people travelling in three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Three have since been taken to hospital by EMS personnel with unknown injuries. One of them, a 64-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at hospital.
Members from the Major Collision Investigation Section have now taken over the investigation. Cause of the collision has yet to be determined.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
This is Edmonton’s 26th traffic fatality of 2015.
