The Edmonton Police Service is looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision involving a male pedestrian that occurred Jan. 14, 2022, in the neighbourhood of Oliver.

It was reported to police that at approximately 11:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, a 50-year-old male was walking in an alley located to the west of 100 Avenue and 115 Street when he was struck head-on by a vehicle.

The male landed on the hood of the vehicle, which then travelled through a nearby garage door. Thankfully, the male complainant only sustained minor injuries. The vehicle and driver subsequently fled the scene, leaving the male lying on the ground.

The vehicle is believed to be a two-door, grey or silver hatchback similar to an older Honda Civic with a partial Alberta licence plate either “CSJ or CJS”. The vehicle may have sustained damage to its front end. The driver is described as being a young white male with a “baby face” and short blonde hair.

Anyone that witnessed this collision or who may have dashcam or home video surveillance footage is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a cell phone.
